Understand what MSJ Connect records, how follow-up works and which choices remain separate.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
MSJ Connect
For a question about your own case, sign in and use the message area attached to that reference.
Open MSJ ConnectDoes reporting an issue make me an MSJ member?
No. Reporting a community or municipal issue does not enrol you as a member and does not grant political-marketing consent.
Is my MSJ reference the same as a municipal reference?
No. The MSJ reference confirms the matter is recorded in MSJ Connect. Keep any municipal reference separately; both can appear on the same case record.
What happens when a follow-up is overdue?
The task returns to the authorised staff queue. It can be completed, rescheduled or escalated, with the action recorded in the case history.
Can I see updates on my case?
Yes. Your secure timeline shows recorded activity, messages and the next follow-up date. You can also confirm the outcome.
How do I ask about membership or volunteering?
Use the separate Get involved form. It creates an enquiry for follow-up; it does not complete membership automatically.
Who can see my information?
Access is limited to named staff accounts with role-based permissions. Sensitive staff access is protected by passwords and authenticator verification.
Should I report an emergency here?
No. Urgent threats to life, safety or property must be reported to the appropriate emergency authority.
